PLATEAU: JUST IN: SEN. DIKET PLANG, BAGS UNIJOS’ PRESS AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN NATIONAL UNITY, OTHERS

The Senator representing the good people of Plateau Central Senatorial District at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, Sen. Diket Plang, has bagged the Jos University’s Press Award for Excellence in National Unity, Human Capacity Development and Strategic Legislation.

The Award, REALITY gathered, was given to the Senator after a careful scrutiny of the contributions between him and his counterpart from Kaduna State on the key issues.

REALITY gathered that the Award that was ceremoniously given to the Senator today at his residence in Jos, by the Deputy Legal Adviser of the Plateau State chapter of the APC, Hon. Bulus Sulisma, was actually presented to him by the University of Jos’ Vice Chancellor/Chairman Board of Directors, Jos University Press, on the 6th of December 2024, on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of JUPL, as, “An Award of Excellence in National Unity, Human Capacity Development and Strategic Legislation”.

Reaction to the Award, Senator Diket in an on-the-spot interview with Journalists said, “I appreciate the Award, but this is a call for me to do more for the people. At the National Assembly we speak of Nigeria and Plateau State and not Senatorial Districts. So, in line with my future plans, I have enough to contribute to the University of Jos and the Federal institutions in Plateau Southern Senatorial District, even when they are outside my area of representation. This is because, we are all Plateau people”.

 Earlier, Hon. Sulisma, had explained to Journalists that the University of Jos had in the occasion told the audience that “They have been following the contributions of the two selected Senators from the floor of the National Assembly and that they have both portrayed the right visions, especially, Sen. Diket Plang for Plateau State hence, he is been encouraged to do more”.

KILLING OF CHILDREN AND WOMEN IN JOS NORTH AND RIYOM LGAs: HON. AUDU ADO ADERE FROWNS, CALLS FOR JUSTICE

Audu Ado Adere has frowned at the killings of children and women in Dong Kasa in Jos North and Kwi in Riyom Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Plateau State. The former Lawmaker, who was a member the Plateau State House of Assembly and former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Congress Committee for 2021 said he is deeply saddened by the reoccurrence of the killings in the state. 2025 PLATEAU STATE BUDGET: PLATEAU RADIO/TV CORPORATION (PRTVC) COMMENDED BY STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, OVER 2024 BUDGET PERFORMANCE

Valentine Adese (JP), The Plateau State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Information has commended the leadership of the Plateau Radio/Tv Corporation (PRTC) for what it described as its outstanding performance in the 2024 Budget, even when the year is yet to end.
