2025 PLATEAU STATE BUDGET: PLATEAU RADIO/TV CORPORATION (PRTVC) COMMENDED BY STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, OVER 2024 BUDGET PERFORMANCE

The Plateau State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Information has commended the leadership of the Plateau Radio/Tv Corporation (PRTC) for what it described as its outstanding performance in the 2024 Budget, even when the year is yet to end.

The Committee gave this commendation during the 2025 Plateau State Budget Defence by PRTVC Management, which held in Room 1, at the state House of Assembly.

According to the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. S. K. Mathew, flanked by his Deputy, Hon. D. Y. Chollom and Hon. B. Joseph, the performance of PRTVC “Is outstanding and calls for emulation”.

The members were also pleased with the new plans of the Corporation to improve in its output and boosting its coverage across the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and beyond.

Also commended is the Commissioner of Information, Plateau State Hon. Musa Ibrahim Ashoms for the outstanding performance of PRTVC.

KILLING OF CHILDREN AND WOMEN IN JOS NORTH AND RIYOM LGAs: HON. AUDU ADO ADERE FROWNS, CALLS FOR JUSTICE

Audu Ado Adere has frowned at the killings of children and women in Dong Kasa in Jos North and Kwi in Riyom Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Plateau State. The former Lawmaker, who was a member the Plateau State House of Assembly and former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Congress Committee for 2021 said he is deeply saddened by the reoccurrence of the killings in the state. Hon. Adere, in a statement yesterday, described the act as, “barbaric, callous and a desperate attempt to rupture the peace and security in the two LGAs and the State at large”.
