PRESIDENT BANCHIR GETTING SET TO BE SWORN-IN

In the swearing-in ceremony that took place in the main hall of the Club’s premises, a member of the Club’s BoT, told the gathering that the swearing-in became possible after getting clearance from the Plateau State Commissioner of Police.

Speaking also, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee said the elections went peacefully without rancor.

In his acceptance speech, President Banchir called on all hands to be on deck to move the Club forward, while extending a hand of fellowship to anyone who may have been aggrieved over past events.

In an exclusive interview, President Banchir said, “I feel delighted and happy over this development because I have desired to see that the old Plateau Club is revived”.

“It is a place you find some level of happiness and that enables us to play our games. It is always a family merriment. Sadly we had the earlier polarization among members. My desire therefore to build a new Plateau Club is here!

“I call on all Plateau people and Nigerians at large, who desire to be members to come, as I still extend my hand of fellowship to others.”

The much awaited swearing-in ceremony of the new Executive Committee to managed Plateau Club Jos, was stalled by Security Operatives today. REALITY gathered.

You would recall that the Club since the Covid era has been managed by the Board of Trustees (BoT) and the vacuum became necessary to be filled hence the setting up of an Electoral Body.

REALITY had also reported that members of the Club were surprise to see the presence of the police in the premises while they were preparing for the swearing-in of the Exco on Sunday, 14th July 2024.

On inquiry, the members felt bad that the security did not only come to the Club to stop the ceremony but to seal the premises. REALITY gathered.

PICTURES OF THE EVENT, COMING SOON…
