BREAKING: SENATORS AND REPS FROM PLATEAU STATE, SHUN CALLS TO SECURE THE HEALTH OF CONSTITUENTS

It was a surprise to Journalists in Plateau State when they were informed that, the Three (3) Senators from the state, representing the Northern, Central and Southern zones of the state and 7 Members in the House of Representatives have refused to buy-in into calls to secure the health of their constituency by the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (PLASCHEMA).

This disclosure came during an interface of PLASCHEMA and the Media, tagged: “Securing Community Sustainability, The Media Experience”, at crest hotel today, 29th April, 2022.

While interrogating the Agency and its operation in the 17 local Government Areas by Journalists, the Director General (D-G), Dr. Fabong J. Yidam, lamented over the effect of poverty on the young and elderly in the state and the refusal of the state’s elected political representatives to help.

He said, “Apart from, Rt. Hon. Maje in the House of Representative, other members and the Three Senators from Plateau State, have refused to help their constituents, health wise. They rather prefer to give them bore holes”.

You would recall that, PLASCHEMA as an Agency of the Plateau State Government was established with the goal of ensuring that, residents in the state have adequate access to quality and affordable healthcare services when the need arises.

KILLING OF CHILDREN AND WOMEN IN JOS NORTH AND RIYOM LGAs: HON. AUDU ADO ADERE FROWNS, CALLS FOR JUSTICE

Audu Ado Adere has frowned at the killings of children and women in Dong Kasa in Jos North and Kwi in Riyom Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Plateau State. The former Lawmaker, who was a member the Plateau State House of Assembly and former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Congress Committee for 2021 said he is deeply saddened by the reoccurrence of the killings in the state. 2025 PLATEAU STATE BUDGET: PLATEAU RADIO/TV CORPORATION (PRTVC) COMMENDED BY STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, OVER 2024 BUDGET PERFORMANCE

Valentine Adese (JP), The Plateau State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Information has commended the leadership of the Plateau Radio/Tv Corporation (PRTC) for what it described as its outstanding performance in the 2024 Budget, even when the year is yet to end.
