LG ELECTIONS: PDP vs PLASIEC: MATTER ADJOURNED TO 5TH AUGUST, AS PLASIEC FILES ONLY PRELIMINARY OBJECTION (PO)

The matter between the Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against, the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC),  which came up yesterday has been adjourned to the 5th of August, 2021, to enable parties prepare for the Preliminary Objection (PO) filed by PLASIEC.

You would recall that, the PDP is challenging the powers of PLASIEC as expressed in rejecting the candidates of the party in the forthcoming Local Government elections in the state and the party is also challenging the Commission for not issuing Nomination forms to the candidates in respect of the said election.

REALITY gathered that, one of the major grounds of the PO filed by PLASIEC challenging the suit filed by the PDP is that, the necessary parties are not before the court, since the candidates of the PDP are not joined.

After a careful submission from, E. D Pwajok SAN  (PDP’S LEAD COUNSEL), the Plateau State High Court, agreed to adjourned the matter to the 5th of August, when it would take the PO and the substantive matter together.

KILLING OF CHILDREN AND WOMEN IN JOS NORTH AND RIYOM LGAs: HON. AUDU ADO ADERE FROWNS, CALLS FOR JUSTICE

Audu Ado Adere has frowned at the killings of children and women in Dong Kasa in Jos North and Kwi in Riyom Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Plateau State. The former Lawmaker, who was a member the Plateau State House of Assembly and former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Congress Committee for 2021 said he is deeply saddened by the reoccurrence of the killings in the state. 2025 PLATEAU STATE BUDGET: PLATEAU RADIO/TV CORPORATION (PRTVC) COMMENDED BY STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, OVER 2024 BUDGET PERFORMANCE

Valentine Adese (JP), The Plateau State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Information has commended the leadership of the Plateau Radio/Tv Corporation (PRTC) for what it described as its outstanding performance in the 2024 Budget, even when the year is yet to end.
