By: Willy Punvwet, Nasarawa State Government has confirmed that, it was the sum of N11. 7 Million that was stolen by armed robbers at the state’s Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning and not N100Million as is erroneously being carried by some Media organizations. Speaking through the administration’s Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Dogo Shamah, the state government explained that, the robbers trailed the Ministry of Finance Staff, right from Access Bank, where they had gone to cash the money. PLATEAU: GOV. LALONG EMBARKS ON MASSIVE REVENUE DRIVE, PAYS GROUND RENT TO FLAG OFF EXERCISE

By: Valentine Adese (JP), Weeks after signing the newly passed Revenue Law and Property and Land Use Charge Law, as well as, the Plateau Geographic Information Systems Law, Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State has flagged off a high powered revenue drive with a target to raise the monthly revenue base of the State to about 3 to 5 billion monthly. NASARAWA: POLICE NABS 7 COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY SYNDICATES, FAKE VICE CHANCELLOR

By: Willy Punvwet, Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a seven-member syndicate in Lafia with N7.8million and 110,000 dollars counterfeit currencies. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Bola Longe, who paraded the suspects on Friday at the Police Command Headquarters in Lafia, alongside 61 others for various criminal offences announced that, two of the  suspects were arrested on 4 th June, 2021, while attempting to pay some money into an account, using Point of Sale (PoS) located around the College of Agriculture in Lafia. The Police Commissioner explained that, a student of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and one other person went to deposit N50,000.00 at the POS when the agent discovered some of the notes were fake. It was reliably gathered that, a total number of about Eighty one (81) Aspirants, purchased Nomination Forms out of which eighty of them have appeared for the screening. The Chairman of the Screening Committee, Mr. Philip Dada, told our political correspondent in an exclusive interview that, Doma Local Government has nineteen aspirants with a female aspirant, adding that, “out of the number, only ten presented themselves for screening”. NASARAWA: GIDAN SULE VILLAGE ATTACKS: 5 KILLED, 3 INJURED, POLICE PROMISES TO ARREST PERPETRATORS

The Police made this disclosure in a Press Statement issued in Lafia signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP. Ramhan Nansel. The PPRO in the statement explained that, “On 21 st July, 2021, at about 23.00 hrs, the command received an information that, unknown gunmen, while shooting sporadically, attacked a particular compound at Gidan Sule Village along Lafia- Makurdi Road”.
