Valentine Adese (JP), Although the hearing of the Direct Criminal Case, No: JMMC/DCR/201/2024, filed by one Huzaifa Ibrahim Aliyu, against one Aliyu Ibrahim Aliyu, at the Senior District Court of Plateau State, sitting at Main Market 4 was stalled today, as the Court could not sit for reasons yet to be made known to Journalists who were there to witness the proceedings, sympathizers for the Defendants carrying placards, with various inscriptions in their hundreds were in Court to witness the proceedings and show support for them. GROUP OF SYMPATHIZERS It took time for the Counsel to the Defendants, Lawrence Anyia (Esq) to calm them down over their zeal to show their concerns and frustrations over the case filed by Huzaifa. Valentine Adese (JP), The hearing of the Direct Criminal Case, No: JMMC/DCR/201/2024, filed by one Huzaifa Ibrahim Aliyu, against one Aliyu Ibrahim Aliyu, at the Senior District Court of Plateau State, sitting at Main Market 4 was stalled today, as the Court could not sit for reasons yet to be made known to Journalists who were there to witness the proceedings. The premises of the Court was filled to its brim as a huge crowd of sympathizers of the Defendants came to witness the proceedings, carrying placards with various inscriptions. REALITY, however, gathered that the matter has been further adjourned to the 5 th of February 2025. From the face of the Motion on Notice filed by Huzaifa, other Defendants in the matter are: Badaru Nuhu, Umar Aliyu, Auwal , Yahaya and Abubakar Yakubu (a. k. a. Bobby). Chris, may have come on board with radical objectives to change and redirect the development of the Local Government, his goals may be shaken with the present attitude of his work force at his information unity. Reality investigation can authoritatively state. With recent developments in the Local Government and starting from his first day in office, the Unit has continued to suppress information relating to the good of the Chairman. Apart from the fact that they made efforts to keep the Chairman away from visiting Journalists to the LG on his first official day in office, the unit staff made sure through their efforts that the event where the Chairman swore in the Secretary of the Council, was poorly covered. The pioneer Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Abdullahi Bala disclosed this at a press briefing held at the institution in Agwada, yesterday. The Vice Chancellor explained that the new students are admitted into various courses across the faculties of Computer Science, Applied Science, Agriculture, Social Sciences, and Management, among others. Prof. Bala, further stated that the new University is currently located at its permanent site in Agwada, from its liaison office in Keffi. He merged as Chairman, unopposed, at the Association’s Elective Congress on Thursday, 21 st November 2024, at Mees Palace in Jos South Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State. REALITY gathered that the election was peaceful and conducted following the statutes of the Association and Guidelines of the National Secretariat. Valentine Adese (JP), The Plateau State Local Government Election Trial Tribunal has held its inaugural sitting at the State Court in West of Mines in Jos-North Local Government Area (LGA) today, with several Petitioners, Respondents, and Counsels in attendance from all the NBA Branches in the state. Addressing the Counsels, Respondents and Petitioners in his remarks during the sitting, Mr. Zakkah Dung, the Chairman of the Tribunal Panel, promised to treat every Petition filed on its merit. Dung also noted that they were on Oath as members of the Tribunal to ensure justice and that is what the panel would adhere to prove that “the judiciary is indeed the last hope of the common man”.
