NASARAWA STATE: GOV. SULE IS SET TO PAY NEW MINIMUM WAGE, CONDUCT LG ELECTIONS

By: Wilson Bako (Lafia), Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has blamed the delay in the implementation of the new #70,000 Minimum Wage to the Nasarawa State’s Civil Servants due to the request of the state’s Labour Leaders. The Governor said, the state’s Labour Leaders have demanded that the State Government should pay all promotion arrears of salaries that have been pending for several years before implementing the new salary structure for the state’s workforce. The Governor, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Public Affairs, Mr. Peter Ahemba, during a monthly media press briefing today Monday, however, made an assurance that his administration has since completed the settlement of salary arrears that have   been pending even before he took over the mantle of leadership of the state. Valentine Adese (JP), The Plateau State Gender and Equal Opportunity Commission (PLASGEOC) has secured its first conviction, while so many other cases of sexual and gender-based violence are being prosecuted in Courts. This feat of the Commission was disclosed today by Mrs. Olivia Dazyam, the Chairperson of the Commission, during a press briefing to mark, “The International Day for Universal Access to Information” at the Commission’s office. DAVID Leading the pack of those being celebrated today at Kings Guarding Bar, off Police Headquarters’ Football filed by the youths, is Mr. David D. Dakerem, for his “Compassion and Health Impact on the people of the community”. MR.
