NASARAWA: ETSU KARU MARKS 20 YEARS ON THE THRONE IN STYLE

By: Wilson Bako (Lafia), The Chairman of Karu Traditional Council and Etsu Karu in Nasarawa State, Pharmacist Luka Panya has Baba marked his Twenty (20) years on the throne with a pledge to promote peaceful coexistence among the various ethnic groups in the Council and in the State as top priority. The Traditional ruler, who was speaking at a colourful celebration in Karu as part of activities to mark the occasion, also promised to collaborate with other Traditional rulers in the country on the need to add their voices to the crusade of preaching things that would unite the people as a Nation rather than, to divide them. He acknowledged that for the past Twenty years that he has been on the throne it had not been that rosy as he had to overcome so many challenges. Adding that, he was only able to overcome most of the challenging tasks through a series of consultations and dialogues.
