BREAKING: A-G PLATEAU STATE vs IGP’S CASE TRANSFERRED TO PLATEAU, AS SUSPENDED LGC CHAIRMEN SUIT IS ADJOURNED FOR RULING ON AN APPLICATION

Valentine Adese (JP), The case instituted by the Attorney-General (A-G) of Plateau State, against the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in Federal High Court (FHC) Abuja, over the suspension of Local Government Chairmen and their Councilors and the subsequent reopening of the Local Government Council (LGC) offices by the Police has been transferred to Plateau State because of lack of jurisdiction of the FHC Abuja to hear the matter. The matter fixed for mention today in the Plateau State High Court presided over by Hon. Justice Samchi has been adjourned to the 15 th of March 2024, for hearing of an Application filed by the A-G for consolidation of the case with another one in the same Court.  The Court has also adjourned the Suit No: PLD/J257/2023, filed by the Suspended Chairmen and their Councilors to the 15 th of March 2024, for ruling on similar Application filed by the A-G to consolidate the case with that against the IGP. Joe Bukar, over the delay in the swearing-in of the new 16 Legislators. SULE MUHAMMED aka (Sarikin Yaki)   Speaking with REALITY exclusively in Jos, Sule Muhammed aka (Sarikin Yaki APC) said, the members of the party (APC) should be looking at the Governor and the body language of the Speaker and the alleged confusions that arose after the Supreme Court Judgment that reversed the Court of Appeal’s Judgment that sacked Governor Caleb Mutfwang (Esq), as part of the reasons that may have caused the delay. PLATEAU: BREAKING NEWS: COURT OF APPEAL’S JUDGMENT REVIEW: APPLICANTS TO PAY, N136 MILLION TO 16 PLATEAU APC LAWMAKERS AND INEC

Valentine Adese (JP), The Application filed by the 16 sacked Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Members of the Plateau State House of Assembly for review has been dismissed by the Court of Appeal Abuja Division today. In their unanimous ruling, J.O.K. Oyewole            (PJCA), ⁠A.I. Banjoko (JCA) and ⁠A. B. Mohammed (JCA), held that the Application for review lacks merit. As a deterrent, the Court has heavily fined the Applicants to pay N136 Million to the Respondents.  According to the ruling, the Applicants are to pay N8 Million Naira each to all the 16 Members and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as a penalty for wasting the Court's time. Upon dismissing their plea for a review, pundits who spoke to REALITY concerning the ruling said, “The path is now clear for the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon.
