“EMIR OF PENGANA” FAKE! PLATEAU STATE GOVT REACTS, VOWS TO DEAL WITH MISCHIEF MAKERS

According to the State Government, the title is fake. In a press statement signed by, Hon. Sylvanus Tapgun, the State’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, dated 30 th December, 2021, in respect to an alleged event to install one Alh. Maiwada Ya’u Mohammed (CEO Jengre Petroleum Company Ltd.), as Danmalikin Pengana by a non-existent “Emir of Pengana”, the Plateau State Government has Urged the public to ignore the said event, as there is no such thing as, “Emirate of Pengana” in Plateau State. By: Eunice Maina, The Chairman of the Independent Publishers’ Association (IPA) Mr. Shabul Mazadu has today, Friday, the 24 th of December, 2021, added smiles on the faces of his members, as he sourced and distributed Christmas gifts and consumable to members. The distribution of the items under his supervision was carried out at his Newspaper’s office (THE BEACON), which also doubles, as IPA’s temporary Secretariat, after an emergency meeting. SOME ITEMS DISTRIBUTED BY MR. SHABUL TO IPA MEMBERS Items distributed include, Dano Milk, Rice, Cadbury Hot Chocolate Drink, Knorr Seasoning Cubes among others. His exemplary leadership was highly demonstrated when he saw to it that, other members of IPA should be given priority in the distribution exercise before him, irrespective of the outcome. MR. SELF-TRACKING OF PROJECT: PLATEAU STATE GOVT RESOLVES TO ADOPT STATE MONITORING AND EVALUATION POLICY AND LAW

COVID-19: PLATEAU STATE GOVT PREPARES FOR MASS VACCINATION, INAUGURATES TASK FORCE, LALONG CONGRATULATES DG ITF @61, OTHERS

It is of note that, in Nigeria, WRAPA implemented the Haki Mkonomi Project in 2015, which immensely contributed to the passage of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act, which was signed into Law by President Goodluck Jonathan on the 25 th of May, 2015. The efforts of WRAPA, its Coordinators and Facilitators in Plateau State, also contributed to the passage of VAPP and the Gender and Equal Opportunity (GEO) Bills into Law in Plateau State. The current One Day training of CSOs and Media Practitioners, involving the military and paramilitary personnel, took place yesterday, the 14 th of December, at Crispan Luxury Apartment, off Zarmanganda Road, Rayfiled, Jos, with huge attendance.
